Today in Trincomalee, Mr. S. Thandayuthapani, Minister for Education and Resettlement at the Eastern Provincial Council made this announcement and thanked Tamil Canadians for their contributions towards this important project to help rebuild the lives of 41 women who have lost their husbands, by constructing a house for them in Sampur lands that has been recently released to the owners.
We expect the first stage of constructing 21 houses to be completed before the end of this year (December 31st, 2015 and the next stage to start immediately thereafter).
We thank all the donors and supporters of this project and we will keep you regularly posted on the progress of this Sampur Housing Project.
