Subject: Save the Date: Tuesday March 22, Meet & Greet with Troy Public Officials and Troy's all volunteer groups

 

To help further the marshalling of Troy's assets in a critical time, the League of Women Voters of Rensselaer County is hosting a Meet & Greet of Troy public officials (the Mayor and City Council) and representatives of Troy's neighborhood groups and other all volunteer civic groups. The League is doing  this to help foster effective and efficient civic engagement, communication, and mutual support among citizens who share common concerns and challenges. Many of our public officials are new to office and many of our volunteer groups "fly under the radar" while offering valuable service to the City and to each other. This informal event is to take place Tuesday March 22 from 5:30 - 7:30PM  at the Rensselaer County Historical Society at 57 Second St. Troy. 

 

 We are hoping for 1-3 representatives from each neighborhood group and all volunteer civic group that we can identify. Please let me know any other all volunteer civic groups that you think I might have overlooked.
