OK, group, let's not wait for additional feedback on the proposed change in the statement:  It is clear that there is no consensus to change the statement, so we won't. 

 

We had developed a good starting consensus around the original statement, so let's not blow that up.  We'll keep the statement and the existing list of sign-ons and all the additional sign-ons that we are able to get.

 

However, let's do this:  Since, a number of reps will only sign on to the proposed revision, we can allow them to do that and we will list them as agreeing with the statement except for the one bullet.  Ideally, that will be the only variation in the statement.  But if you run into people who will only sign-on with some other variation, just accept that and we will reflect their differing views on the website.

 

SO LET'S GO FULL STEAM ON COLLECTING ENDORSEMENTS TO THE ORIGINAL AND ALSO ACCEPT VARIATIONS THAT PEOPLE INSIST ON.   PROVIDE DETAILS TO jimbarbar...@gmail.com AND WE WILL FAITHFULLY REFLECT WHAT PEOPLE REPORT.
