  Sector Group, a renowned Italian watch company that blends Swiss watch expertise with Italian design, was started in the year 1973. By mid 1980's, it turned into a prestigious name and is currently a leading name in the Italian sport watch-making industry. The group's movement started by the way of Sector brand, which in the 1980s dominated the Italian watch market. At some point in the same period, the Group invigorated the Philip Watch brand.

  Sector Group initiated a tactic of diversification in early 1990s by launching the brands Chronostar and MoDe. The group got hold of the consent to make "Roberto Cavalli timepieces" in March 2000. Subsequent to the acquisition of the venture Opera, it achieved the license for "Valentino" in October 2002. It wrapped up union with the Benetton Group for the brands Sisley and United Colors of Benetton in 2003.
