What I see is that they have created a video that might convince the average viewer( with no electrical training) that this is a done deal. Ferrite cores are not new, thay have been with us for ages.
The abscence of any specifications such as permissable gap between coil and pickup mechanism, power loss, weight of a unit that can transfer 1 Kwh of electricity, etc, means to me that this is still in the experimental stage and may be useful for limited locations.
It would be nice if you can park your car at a certain spot in your driveway, or at work, and have it recharge the battery without messing with a cable plug-in. Making a whole highway run this way may be a long leap, but it will certainly do one thing: It will siphon off any funds that any of us could hope to get to build PRT, DM, or anything else. It will meet the approval of all who can think of nothing else but cars and roads.
