Until now, I always thought that Disney led the pack when it came to moving people. No more. No AC, irritating announcements, long dwell times, window decals ruining the view. For starters.
I think this review nailed it.

The reviewer sees trouble.  I see opportunity.  Disney needs AC added to these cabins. Any supplier with a good price on batteries will be all over this opportunity.  The AC unit can go under the floorboard or perhaps above the roof.  They can swap the battery at both stations and charge them offline.

We had some great luck this week.  We may be delivering water to Karachi from a lake 77.7 miles away.  This use of advanced elevated guideway EVs will ease the water shortage in this very large city.

Apparently, Jerry, there is at least one solution (using supercaps) being employed in the gondola at Wynn's Macau casino. The problem with batteries is that they work fine -- until the system stops. Then what?

The battery pack has to be large enough to run full AC for hours.  For more information look up Tesla "dog mode". The battery pack is going to be big.

The trick is battery pack swap at both ends.

Jerry,

Given the temp/humidity at Orlando - not to mention the bubble cabins and direct radiant sunshine - one has to wonder why Disney didn't opt for this feature.

Riders on Disney World's brand new aerial cable car system were stranded for hours when one of its Skyliner cars became stuck.
Fortunately, it was at night. With no AC, good thing it wasn't during the day.
