Appears to be cable drawn, definitely GRT scale, has some guideway
features in common with MicroRail, interesting videos but no English
option. Cable drawn doesn't have to worry about brickwall
problem. Looks like at least one line is current built and operating
in public service (see video).

Not a PRT: it's a line, not a network (cable drawn systems cannot do networks), stations are on-line and all cars stop at every station. The clamp with which each car is attached to the cable opens, and the car is slowed down to a stop by friction wheels. The car stops enough time to unboard/board passengers and must start again before the next car arrives. The car is accelerated by friction wheels to cable speed and the clamp closes again.
Minimetro has recently started service in Perugia, Italy. The infrastructure has been designed by French architect Jean Nouvel. It is 3 km long and has 7 stations

The system is made by Leitner ropeways of Bolzano, Italy, a company specialized in cable-cars

Leitner recently took control of POMA.

I don't know about this one, but I've seen removable chair lifts. A
spring-closed clamp holds onto the wire while engaged and a mechanism
un-clamps the lift when needed. Such a system could work for
stations, with a slight slope for propulsion and the same idea could
be used to switch loops resulting in a network system.

Cable systems are used in San-Fransisco to recover/reuse energy going
up and down those hills.

I think there are efficiency drawbacks and speed limitations though.
