Hi transparent statistics enthusiasts!

For CHI 2019, the Transparent Statistics movement plan to run a workshop on preregistration. If you are interested to co-organize, please drop me a quick email <ch...@ifi.uzh.ch>.

Community update since CHI 2018

  • The Effect size guideline: We incorporated feedback from CHI 2018 SIG and it is now in final review step. We plan to release the first version fo the effect size guideline before the end of the year. Here’s the preview version.
  • We are proposing a revision to CHI guides for the authors and reviewers w.r.t replicability and transparency. This has been received favorably by CHI 2020 technical program chairs. We’re working with them to revise this before making it online next month.
  • Transparent statistics blog is online. Pierre discussed the meaning of “effect sizes” in his post. If you wish to write a post on topics relevant to transparent statistics, get in touch with us!
  • We have a Skype meeting every month since May to push our movement forward. All meeting notes are available for you to catch up. Our next meeting will be on 7.11.18, 18:00–19:00 CEST on Skype.

For information and discussion, join the Transparent Statistics Slack channel.
