Hi!

I like very much the templating solution presented by Transparency. I wonder if there is already a solution for going the other way around, i.e., from rendered html to a javascript object - something similar to jquery.serializeArray(), but that would work with nested objects/lists in accordance with Transparency's conventions.

Is this possible with transparency today? Or maybe you have a different way of handling this?

Thanks!

Hi Felipe!

Great to hear you've found Transparency.js suitable for your needs!

At the moment, there's no functionality to reconstruct the rendered object from template. With forms, I've used either jQuery functions or Spine.Model.fromForm() [1].

However, such a feature shouldn't be too hard to implement, in case there's a use case and some community support for the feature. Could you describe the use case with example api calls, input data and output data as a GitHub issue?

Best Regards,

Jarno
