Why doesn't Transparency just rule the client rendering world?

I don't mean to be flippant, but really, isn't everyone sick of <!{{=markup}}> and sneaking crippled subsets of javascript into invalid html? Why wouldn't everyone want to not do that? Why wouldn't they want such good performance (at least after first render, and not too bad before).

Seriously, this isn't a brand new library, but I for one just heard of it recently, and I don't understand why it's not a bigger deal in the js world.

In any case, nice job!

But that's not my actual point, this is a real question. Is there some major downside I'm not getting, other than the lack of flow of control constructs?

Maybe Jarno needs to get a ticket / speaker seat to all those big hippy JavaScript conferences ;)
