Hi folks,
I noticed Nisha left out the link. The decision is here (as PDF) and there's links to other blogs who are watching this decision, too.

Here is Sunlight Opinion on Citizens United:

http://blog.sunlightfoundation.com/2010/01/21/how-the-citizens-united-case-affects-money-politics-and-transparency-as-we-know-it/

"Today’s decision underscores the necessity of creating comprehensive real-time disclosure for all election spending – across the board — from when and how often candidates, individuals and PACs report their contributions and expenditures to those involved in independent expenditures, issue ads or direct election advocacy."

This decision makes transparency more important than ever! We can no longer think of it as a good to do. We need procedures and real time disclosure for money in politics information NOW! We need people dedicated to investigating and keeping politicians accountable.

We are now in a place where citizens have to be real watchdogs. We can do this. We can keep our government officials accountable.

This decision also affects states and their campaign finance rules.  Have you heard anything about your state?
