This Year:As year comes to an end, we are looking back on all the exciting things we did this year:
- An East Coast tour with popular education workshops and a dozen interviews
- 3 skill shares in Chicago
- Participated in local Trans Day of Remembrance events and made a video that got over 600 views!
- Launched our own zine distro
Thank you to all the volunteers who made this possible!
In Progress:We're releasing a
2013 Post-apocalyptic Survival Calendar--a calender full of artwork from trans* artists, dates of historic trans events, and a full schedule of trans gatherings across the country--to raise money
for the project.
Please buy our calender for $20 (including
shipping
and handling). If you do not have the means, you can still help by asking your contacts to
support the project.
We are helping our friends at
wehappytrans.com and this is HOW compile a list of the Trans 100,
100 activist and community leaders across the country who are doing valuable work in the community. Nominate yourself or someone in your community today by
filling out this form before December 30th.
In 2013:We're still deciding our agenda, but we plan to:
- Host programming with trans youth of color
- Host more media production skill shares
- Share stories from our archive on community access TV and radio
- Solicit stories & artwork from transgender prisoners
