Hi Developers,

Please be advised that there is a scheduled CMBC bus and SeaBus strike throughout Metro Vancouver scheduled from Wednesday, November 27 through Friday, November 29. TransLink is advising all third-party apps to issue the below warning alert if Open Data/GTFS is being consumed through their platform.

Alert message to your customers from Wednesday, November 27 through Friday, November 29:

"Due to CMBC job action, bus and SeaBus are not operating today (Nov. 27, 28 and 29). SkyTrain, West Coast Express and HandyDART are operating regular schedules.
Please plan extra travel time. View available travel options at https://new.translink.ca/stay-informed"

Continued job action outside of this week's strike is resulting in service delays and some bus and SeaBus cancellations. It would be recommended to issue a warning alert to your customers starting this Saturday to notify them of possible delays in service.

Below is a recommended message for Saturday, November 30 on, until TransLink communicates a change in service disruption.

“Due to CMBC job action, customers may expect longer than normal waits for Bus and SeaBus service throughout Metro Vancouver. Please plan for extra travel time and view your travel options at https://new.translink.ca/stay-informed”

Good Morning Developers,

We’re are pleased to share that Coast Mountain Bus Company, and Unifor Locals 111 and 2200 have reached a tentative agreement! As we work towards resuming regular service we will be asking customers to prepare for longer than usual wait times on bus Wednesday, Nov. 27.
