Dear All,
This is to remind you about the upcoming online conference on stylistic border crossings in and beyond translation at UEA on the 9th and 10th of March. The focus is both on style in translation and also on a range of contexts where stylistic features migrate between languages, such as multilingual literature. The programme and the book of abstracts are attached.
Plenaries include keynotes by Rainier Grutman, Jean Boase-Beier and Haidee Kotze, as well as two roundtables: "Stylistic Border Crossings in Multilingual and Translated (Con)texts" (speakers: Alexandra Berlina, Vesna Goldsworthy, Matthew Reynolds, and Douglas Robinson) and "Influence in Slavic Contexts" (speakers: Brian Baer, Nila Friedberg and Leonid Livak).
On Friday during lunchtime, there will also be an opportunity to attend drop-in sessions with editors in the field, including our own Natasha Lvovich who will be presenting the new Journal of Literary Multilingualism. Duncan Large will lead a session on his Routledge Studies in Literary Translation book series and Haidee Kotze will talk about Target: International Journal of Translation Studies.

This online conference is jointly hosted by the British Centre for Literary Translation and the East Centre.
Please feel free to register even if you are only interested in attending certain events; registration will close at 3 pm tomorrow, but if you'd like to attend after that, please let me know and I'll send you the links.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Best wishes,
Eugenia
