Hi everyone!
Sorry, that was a very long hiatus. I wasn't sure what to do next and
I have been very busy moving into a new house and moving out of my old
one.....but spring is coming!!!! Does anyone have any suggestions for
the group? I was thinking that perhaps we could focus on internet
discussions etc. until we have an actual project or need to meet in
person to make more concrete plans.
I would like to start a discussion about getting our gardens started.
Hopefully, we can inspire each other to create beautiful bountiful
gardens. Does anyone have any important tips for getting a garden
started in Wrightwood (or surrounding areas).....hoow about sharing an
inspiring project or asking some questions for the group? Would
anyone be interested in organizing a bartering farmer's market once
the season is under way?

"Every gardener knows that under the cloak of winter lies a miracle."

Hi,

I'd like to ask people in the group what they know about gardening in Wrightwood>?
I'm new to the area here and would especially like to know what they do to prepare the soil for veggetable gardens, raised beds, and fruit trees?

Best of health to you all...

Ron

Hi Mary,
It was great seeing you at the Yodler on New Years Eve- see photo attachment from that night (with my friends Denise, David, Joe and Dan).
I would love to help with the garden. I will help water, etc. especially in the summer. I just can't offer expert advice other than I KNOW from first-hand experience that there are creatures who eat gardens around here, but that if you put up wire mesh to protect the garden, it can trap and kill cool innocent-bystander creatures like horny toads.
Please send all future emails to the following: ucant...@gmail.com ( I had to change it after my insane ex kept sending me loooong hate-emails! DO NOT share it with him if you ever have contact with him.)
thanks!
Mary Feeney
