Dear All

At last night's meeting the consensus was that we need to schedule a meeting with the aim of crystallising our aims. The ideal outcome would be to have a short list/description of what we're about, which can form the basis of a profile on the Transition network website (which it is hoped will raise our profile). Reference can be made to notes from earlier discussions along the same lines.

Ideas for a program of events could also be discussed, with a view to presenting it with an application for funding, if we decide to go in that direction.

We also hope to bring to the meeting a small amount of produce (probably cooked up into something tasty for everyone to sample) harvested from the food group project, subject to agreement with the venue.

Could everyone interested in attending please reply to this email (please avoid reply-to-all , to minimise the number of emails people receive) with their preferred date from the following two options:

Monday 10th October
Wednesday 12th October

Please respond before 10th September, to give us all plenty of time to prepare for the meeting.

Thanks

Ian

Dear All

I must confess I haven't given this the attention it needed. However we only have a total of 4 people for the Monday and 3 for the Wednesday. I suggest it would be good to have more people than this, given the aims of the meeting. What do people think? Should we proceed on one of those dates anyway? Or try for a different date in the hope that more people can attend?

Dear Ian

Thank you from me likewise.  I was hoping I would be able to get to a meeting to catch up with all you guys, but cannot manage either of the October dates.  I strongly agree with what Anne says below.  Let’s try to keep Transition Woking alive – I do think it has great potential.

Let’s try for another date in November.

Best regards

Jenny

Hi Ian and All Transition Woking Friends

Thanks Ian for your  thoughts, I know you are extremely busy with work and really appreciate what you do in holding us together.
As we have 23 interested folk on the e.mail list. I suggest we postpone the 'harvesting ideas' review meeting.
I know particularly that some 'like minded' people are involved in the latest Woking Community Play - The Woking Poltergeist, which will be performed at the Rhoda McGaw on the October 22nd.
What do you all think about late November early December, when the festive season is beginning to stir. With climate change, I think we will still be harvesting, so we may have even more tasty samples?

If it's just that everyone is busy but there is still the will to keep Transition Woking alive,  let's try one more time to arrange a gathering.

Do let us know Ian if you would like Jeff and I to do anything.

Thankyou
Anne
