I am an environmental rep for the PCS union based in Newcastle Our branch environmental committee is going to host a workshop around the themes of 'Green New Deal' / 'Million Climate Jobs' in the New Year. Provisional details are Saturday January 29th 2011, 1 - 4 pm, in a Newcastle city centre venue. A speaker from the national 'Million Cimate Jobs' campaign has been booked. We want to invite all unions with an interest in the green jobs agenda to come along to this event, whether they be in the manufacturing, construction, energy or transport sectors. We also want all NGOs / environmental groups interested in this area to play a part too. If you want further details or would like to participate yourselves, please let us know |
