Energy awareness course
22, 23 February and 1 March, venue to be confirmed
NEA, the national fuel poverty charity, has a limited number of free places on a City and Guilds 6176 Energy Awareness course available to volunteers or practitioners working in voluntary and community sector organisations in Newcastle. This three-day course (with an exam on 8 March) leads to a recognised qualification and aims to equip participants with the skills to provide energy advice to the public. The course will be particularly useful to those working in advisory or support roles

Energy awareness sessions
NEA is hosting a limited number of brief energy awareness sessions for individuals drawn from community and voluntary sector groups in Newcastle as part of its Energy Champions programme. These free sessions cover basic energy awareness, equip participants with basic skills to identify households that may need assistance with energy-related issues and also promote signposting into sources of specialist advice and assistance.
