Hi all,

I know we've been active in other things over the summer but I'm wondering if anyone's interested in getting together for coffee or drinks?

I know Bruno has some exciting ideas about the Permaculture group. Let me know if anyone's interested in screening a film or doing a permaculture blitz. Anyone need some lawn converted to garden over the winter?

Hey Transition Town folks,

That email was like a breathe of fresh air amongst the constant clutter of emails to "respond-to."
The sense of belonging to the local social movement.

My ideas:
  • films (Corporation, Sharkwater, Waterlife, Who Killed the Electric Car, Why We Fight, Radiant City, Blue Gold, Earthlings) - in my possession.
  • permaculture: I could offer my school contacts to invite community members to an approved school garden event, and will invite the student leaders to attend any of our acts of community stewardship as well.
  • lawn-to-garden: I have a 10m sq. section of blackberry to tackle in my adopted city trail - to make room for a strawberry and sunflower garden in the spring, weather-dependent, I will be scrumming with the thorns during the two week winter break.
I look forward to hearing everyone's stories.

Sounds great, how about before mid Dec when things tend to get crazy?

Michael,

I'd be up for some blackberry removal - feeling a both sloth-like since the weather turned. Do you want to set up a date & time that's good for you and then let us know where to meet?
