We have reached a critical moment in our campaign against the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Despite growing concerns about threats to well-paying jobs, the environment, public health, food safety, and our democratic freedoms, the corporations behind the TPP are calling on Congress to approve the pact during the so-called “lame duck” session right after the November elections.
We can't let this corporate power grab go unanswered. On July 21st, our growing coalition of environmental, labor, human rights, and social justice leaders will deliver a petition of over 200,000 signatures to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s office, urging her to do right by the American people and oppose the TPP.
YOUR VOICE MATTERS! Join us for a rally and speakout on Thursday July 21st, 2016 at 11 am outside Rep. Pelosi’s office, 90 7th Street, San Francisco.
Together, we can show Rep. Pelosi that San Francisco Bay Area residents are opposed to the TPP and want to see Rep. Pelosi take a stand.
Please join the Citizens Trade Campaign and our coalition members from the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Sierra Club, California Nurses Association, Global Exchange, Communication Workers of America, Food & Water Watch and other organizations in rallying against the TPP.
Please RSVP here so we know we can expect you. Please forward this message to your friends and co-workers.
We look forward to seeing you in San Francisco!
