Dear friends,
Want to connect with local clean energy advocates and help move the needle toward a renewable, socially just economy? Then join me on Nov 16 and 17 for the 6th annual Clean Power, Healthy Communities
gathering of the Local Clean Energy Alliance, which will celebrate its
10-year anniversary and the release of its new book!
Be a part of the
movement for community-based energy — investing in equitable sustainable
businesses, providing family-sustaining clean energy jobs, powering
homes, schools, urban food systems, public transportation, businesses,
and strengthening community self-sufficiency and resilience.
About the two-day event (you can register for either day or both):
Thursday, November 16, 2017, 6 pm – 9 pm: 10-Year Anniversary & Book Release Celebration
An
evening of dinner, spoken word, and music to celebrate ten years of
achievement and appreciation of allies. Great chance to party and mingle
with the region’s top clean energy thinkers and decision makers
representing labor, community organizations, government, and green
business.
Friday, November 17, 2017, 9 am – 5 pm: Clean Power, Healthy Communities Action Conference
A
special gathering of clean energy and social justice advocates in the
Bay Area. Over the past 7 years, these conferences have charted a path
for community-based energy. It will be a fully interactive day with lots
of networking opportunities as well as breakout sessions to explore
strategies and programs for advancing a local clean energy transition in
the Bay Area—and beyond.
Yours for a democratic, clean energy tomorrow,
- Aaron Lehmer-Chang, Co-host, Clean Power, Healthy Communities 2017
