Dear Transition towners.
We've had a great response to our appeal for volunteers for our Open
Green Homes event. Nine people will be throwing open their homes on
the weekends of 10th-11th May and 17th-18th May from 2pm-5pm. We have
homes ranging from Mediaeval with eco-extension to new build with
state of the art eco features. In between are modest 20th century
houses with various green upgrades from insulating blinds to solar
panels, not forgetting rainwater harvesting systems and compost bins.
We are now looking for volunteer stewards to help our home owners to
manage the influx of visitors. Could you spare an hour or two on any
of the above dates? We have Open homers in Marlow, Bisham, Cookham and
Cookham Dean as well as Maidenhead.
We hope to run the event in aid of the Alexander Devine Hospice appeal
so you will be helping a good cause as well as promoting green
lifestyle choices.

Dear Kath,
I meet Rajiv at a green drinks meeting late last year, when he told me about your Open Green Homes idea I told him about my own solar panels and my intention of buying an electric car so I could drive around on sunbeam power.
I have now got my Renault Zoe and am thrilled to tell you that I am indeed driving around on sunlight, with NO emissions it hasn't even got an exhaust and is very 21st century driving.
I spent my entire 35 year private pension thinking this was a wise investment just like my solar panels it has been a total success.
Am I on the list for your Open homes for visitors? If not I can offer to help and arrive in my electric car.
