Friends,

I was recently at a Home renovation exhibition and came across besides many sustainable products, an eco-toilet.
Iam pretty sure that there are many providers of such products in the UK, however I am sharing the information what I saw at the exhibition.

They are mostly the composting variety reducing the demand on water usage and using the wastes for many useful purposes.
There are the incinerating types, etc too.
Pl. have a look at the weblink yourself. Eco Toilet.

Also, one of our Transition members have shared details about a community share offer launch for a coopertive enterprise called 'Energy4All'.
Again, pl. find further details as appended.
Best wishes

New Share Offer From Energy4All
Dear Energy4All Supporter,

Further to registering your interest to be kept up to date with our projects we are pleased to announce the Drumlin Wind Energy second round share offer is now open.

Under this new offer Drumlin intends to raise up to £1.2 million to install one or two additional turbines; one at Ballyrobert, Ballyclare, Co. Antrim and the other at Cavanakill, Newtownhamilton, Co. Armagh.

The benefit of the additional wind turbines for existing and new Drumlin Members is an increase in the average rate of projected return of over 1% on all shares. Therefore this new offer projects a pre-tax relief return of approximately 8.6% (annualised average) over a 20 year investment period.

Drumlin has received confirmation from HMRC that the shares issued in this new offer will qualify for 30% tax relief under the Enterprise Investment Scheme. However, the Chancellor's 2014 Budget announced changes to the Enterprise Investment Scheme.  The changes apply to renewable energy projects qualifying for ROCs rather than the Feed in Tariff, and thus could apply to the Drumlin offer.  However the changes will only apply from Royal Assent. For both 2012 and 2013, the date of Royal Assent was 17 July.  We hope interested parties will apply for sufficient Drumlin shares (minimum capital sum £600,000) before the closing date, 30 April 2014, thus ensuring that the new Drumlin shares will qualify for EIS tax relief, even with these proposed changes.

The offer will close on 30 April 2014.

Full terms and conditions are shown in the offer document. To download a copy, please click here. You will find an application form at the end of the document.

The Offer is an approved offer under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.

We do hope this will be of interest to you. For further information visit www.drumlin.coop.

Kind Regards
Energy4All Ltd

As with other investments, the value of an investment in the co-op may go down.
