Yes, it's on! Haringey Seed Swap 2013
Sunday 24 February, 2pm - 5pm
at Tottenham Chances, 398 Tottenham High Rd, N17 6QN
Seed Swap Days aim to encourage seed-saving and growing from
seed,
especially of traditional and local varieties. A day for all local
gardeners to swap seeds, advice, find out about local community
gardening
projects, and think about the coming spring. Free entry -- and you
don't
need to bring seeds to join in. Refreshments will be available.
Organised by Growing in Haringey, the umbrella network for local
food-growing and community gardening projects.
Tottenham Chances: is a lively and friendly community
music and
events enterprise, in the old Royal British Legion building – five
mins
walk north of Seven Sisters Tube station. Lots of buses up High
Rd, plus
41, 230, 123 east-west services.
Notes:
1) setting up starts 1pm, for those bringing quantities of seed or
willing to give a hand on the day.
2) this is a change to a later date than we were originally
planning.
Apologies if the change of date isn't good for you
3) Please circulate this notice to your networks, gardening
friends and
others who may be interested.
4) If you are involved in a sustainable food or gardening project,
we
would welcome you bringing along leaflets or information to
display at
the Seed Swap
