Hello,

We are emailing you because you have attended a Transition Dartmouth Park food growing event or workshop, or have asked to receive information about our growing projects.

We would like to introduce ourselves - Dinaz and Susan who live locally and are helping to co-ordinate the various growing projects for this year.

We are hoping you will get involved, no matter your experience or your ability or how much time you have available.  If you like the concept and can get to any of the sites mentioned below please do sign up.   Dinaz was out of the country for 3 months in summer last year but still feels like the HNCC garden is her project!  Although we love to all meet up together to garden, we also do some therapeutic gardening on our own.  You can fit it into your world!

And it's not just gardening that our food growing projects are involved with.  We have film nights at the pub, workshops, seed swaps, training sessions and barbecues with the produce we've grown!

We have 5  different projects.

HNCC - gardens at the back of Highgate Newtown Community Centre, Bertram Street.  Open all days, access from the back of the cafe.

The Towers- a housing association block opposite the reservoir on Dartmouth Park Hill - a new project that allows you to adopt a large bag of your own to grow in.  This can be done as a group or on your own.

Whittington Hospital / Waterlow Park project - the staff at Whittington have asked us to help them with their garden.

Garden Share Scheme - matches food growers without gardens, with those who have space.

Fruit Mapping and Harvesting - mostly going around the neighbourhood harvesting the fruit trees and getting to know your neighbours.

Please fill out our survey by clicking on this link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MG9SD6X

Looking forward to hearing from you

Hi Josef & All

If you have items for a newsletter please could you use a Google Form at: http://j.mp/thnews1

This will make it MUCH quicker and easier to get things together. At present it is time-consuming for whoever does the newsletter trying to keep track of items and prepare them in a form that can be used.

Thanks

. . .Ian
