Dear Action Groups,
The TCCH Spokes Council is trying to get a handle on which groups are
still meeting, when, where and what you are doing. There has been
some attrition and some combining of groups since the Unleashing in
May. We have heard from some conveners that their groups are
inactive, and know that other groups have new leadership. In an
attempt to get an accurate idea of how vibrant our Transition
Initiative is, we are asking anyone who is currently working in an
action group to help us out by responding to the following questions
(please send directly to Kathy Shea at tkmjs...@mindspring.com and
put
TCCH Action Groups in the subject line) :
1) What action group(s) do you belong to?
2) Who is/are the current convener(s) - or point person(s) - and
what
is the best way to contact (e mail, google group, phone)?
3) How are you communicating with each other (google group, e
mail,
phone)?
4) About how many people regularly attend your meetings?
5) Are you meeting regularly and if so how often and where?
6) Do you need help getting your meetings onto the TCCH google
calendar?
7) Are you taking notes at meetings, developing minutes and do
you
need help posting them to the webpage?
8) Are there specific actions/supports that would help you
accomplish
your mission?
At the last Spokes Council meeting, we talked about the need for some
concrete actions - some visible projects - that bring TCCH to life
and
encourage new people to join us. If your group is working on a
project, please let us know. If not, we encourage you to develop
some
ideas and an action plan for a short or medium term concrete action.
We have a good start with TCCH but need to keep active and encourage
more and more people to join in with us. 10.10.10 was a wonderful
event which engaged a lot of businesses, how can we keep that
momentum
going and enlarge our scope and participation? Atmospheric CO2 is
rising more rapidly than the IPCC predicted in 2007 - our window is
