Hello transitioners!!!
I remember a time when there was such a thing as 'transition drinks'
but for various reasons, it seems to be no more...
We at Growing People have been talking a lot recently about our third
aim, that is, 'to help to create more rich and resilient communities
for people to live in'.
I know that there are lots of amazing people out there (yourselves
included of course) who are trying to do something positive in these
challenging times and I also know how tiring that can be. We at
Growing People have been reflecting that the Urb Farm is really a
perfect venue for a gathering of like-minded souls to come together
every so often and talk/ spend time with each other so that we can go
away feeling renewed, invigorated and inspired to continue with our
good work (whether that be planting a vegetable garden, making
homemade pasta or installing solar panels!)...
We've decided to make the last saturday of every month between 2pm and
4pm a time when transitioners and other green minds/ eco warriors/
creative types can come together at the farm to hang out, share food
and generally just enjoy each others company and absorb the power of
community! That means this saturday will be the first one!
Just to be clear- this will be an informal gathering where people can
get together with a view to strengthening our community and resolve.
We can share ideas, celebrate success or even talk about what were
finding a challenge right now... it doesn't really matter... the main
thing is that we will be spending time with like minds!
Soooo......... please come!
Bring cake or biscuits if you like...
We'll provide tea/ coffee and maybe some fresh raspberries!
I really hope to see you there.
Heather :-)

p.s. If you can't make this one, never fear! I will definitely be
doing this every month and I'll do my best to remind you beforehand
each time :-)

Hi Heather,

It's a great idea - I hope you do another one as we are away this weekend.
I hope it's a big success. I presume it will be OK to bring children along?

All the best,

Sandra
