On Sunday, April 22, the 4th annual Pennsylvania Cannabis Festival will be held at the community owned park, Nay Aug, in Scranton, PA. It runs from 10:00 am to sundown. The event was founded by, and is sponsored, by the Green Party. It’s grown into the largest cannabis and Earth Day event in Pennsylvania history. We are cordially inviting you to attend this celebration of cannabis, peace, planet, freedom and justice. The PA Green Party position on cannabis and hemp can be found herehttps://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=256247288148035&id=256243391481758&substory_index=0 ). There is no charge for admission and children and well-behaved pets are welcome.

The festival is a celebration of cannabis culture and comes with a demand to free the entire plant, as gardening should never be a crime. It features 15 bands, several speakers and two stages. There will also be over 200 vendors on hand, live art, yoga and doctors to advise potential medical cannabis patients. The vendor village allows opportunity for guests to visit the creative, small businesses providing merchandise, food and services in line with Green values of locally based economy.

This year the Greens have partnered with the City of Scranton to lead the fundraising effort for rehabilitation of the treehouse in Nay Aug. It is the only handicapped accessible treehouse in the country. The city must shore up the structure, which has been out of service for a year. As a matter of fact, the last people to use it are festival organizers, Jeff and Mandy Zick, who were married in the treehouse on 4/20/2016. Please join us for a day of fun, knowledge and love.
