I am digging back into my systems thinking reading (Donella Meadows) and ran across this article that has a very simple but powerful image: Corruption as Erosion.

And here is the deeper piece that I think helps deal with where we are at:

I keep running over the Serenity Prayer in my mind: God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

The forces at play here are mighty.  The world's largest nations.  The world's richest people.  The whole world's climate.  Yet individual actions do matter.  And it may take years for this to play out and still someone needs to plant the seed, harvest the crop, wash the dishes, do the laundry.  How do we act when acting is essential?  Wait with patience when it is not?

I don't know.  But that is what I am exploring and writing about.

Spring will come no matter what.  There is no ego so big it can block the Earth from orbiting.  No matter how self important some seem to feel. Lol!

I hope you all get a chance to enjoy some of this sunshine!
