HI
Transition Town Invercargill is working on its plans for 2012. We would like to encourage the people on this list to let us know if there is anything they would like to see happening in Invercargill and especially if you would like to be involved in making it happen.
The Transition Town steering group meets on the last Monday of each month at 7pm at Judith Robinson's place at 183 Findlay Rd. Anyone is welcome to attend this meeting and contribute ideas and get involved.
Green Drinks: We have decided make a roster for leading Green Drinks which is held on the last Thurs of each month at 5.30pm at Zookeepers. If you would like to volunteer to be the lead person for a month please let us know and we will roster you in. We appreciate any help with this as Green Drinks is often the place where people new to town come to connect with like minded people. Michael is leading Green drinks for February and will have information about building with strawbales if anyone is interested in finding out more about this.
Community Garden - the Transition Town Community Garden is up and running on McIvor Rd. We are keen to get more poeple involved so if you are interested in having a plot (the garden is allotment style) or participating in the building up of a permaculture or foraging garden or similar please get in touch. The garden is open at various times, please contact
phil...@xtra.co.nz for more details.
