Subject: Are you keen to keep being involved with 350?
Hello!
As a past organiser with 350, whether you've been
involved for one global day of action or all three, we want to thank you for
every bit of effort you have put in - you have pushed this movement and grown
it, and have inspired people around the world.
Together over the last
three years we have started something that has gone from a small group of people
in Wellington to a mass movement of people that reaches across the
Aotearoa.
We're inviting our best and most dedicated organisers - that's
you - to join us in 2012 to keep on pushing for climate solutions and
win.
In 2012, we're rolling out a new organising structure to grow this
movement even more. We know that to have any hope of halting climate
change, we need a stronger, more connected, more educated and more powerful
movement - including in your region.
We are recruiting one or two people
per region to become 350's volunteer regional field coordinators to build and
support local 350 groups in your region, pick your own local climate campaigns
and join global solidarity actions. Instead of focusing only on one global day
of action a year, we'll be putting energy into both local and global actions all
year-round.
We'll support you to learn new skills through training
retreats and workshops, and also hope you can share your skills with the
movement.
We need people of all ages leading these groups, with a hopeful
and energetic outlook.
Please see the role description here:
http://350.org.nz/get-involved/volunteer.
If this sounds like something you would like to do, fill out the application
form on this page too. We'll be planning some training for these roles early
next year and we'd love to invite you along to join us!
Here is hoping
you are keen to keep being involved with 350 - we'd love your
support!
Warm regards,
Julia Capon
