Ever think about what the food system could look like in Leicestershire?

We invite you to share your thoughts with us as we develop a Grassroots Food Plan, co-created with Leicestershire’s communities forLeicestershire communities. This initiative is designed to ensure that our food system reflects the diverse needs, experiences, and aspirations of local people, organisations and businesses across the county. 

With our work we aim to:

• Create a space for a wide range of perspectives of the food system, making sure that diverse experiences inform the plan.
• Encourage engagement from individuals and groups who may not have traditionally been involved in food planning or local policy decision-making.

We have three ways in which you can get involved:

We are especially keen to hear from young* and elderly people, primary producers and food growers, SME food businesses, and community and justice organisations. Your input will directly shape the Leicestershire Grassroots Food Plan, by informing the Theory of Change and guiding the community steering group.

*Only individuals over the age of 16 can participate.
