Best wishes to you all. I know this past year has been a difficult time for some of us, but I really hope that the new year will bring improved prospects for happiness and continued goodwill, among our little group and elsewhere, wherever we find ourselves in the ongoing transition. While Transition SFV may no longer be an active entity, I remain convinced that transition itself is still occurring all around us, in efforts large and small.
Here at the end of the year I found myself wondering if there might be an evening in the next couple of weeks when we could all get together, share some food and drink, and celebrate what we managed to accomplish over the last couple of years - not as an organization so much as each in our own lives. This is not an invitation to restart the group or critique what went wrong - just an occasion to sit down and talk about where we've been, where we're going, and how we might best be able to support each other going forward. I'd be happy to host.
So, if you're in the mood and have a couple of hours to spare after the holidays, let's start a conversation and set a date. In the meantime, Merry Christmas to you all and best wishes for a happy and healthy 2014, Peak Oil and Climate Change notwithstanding.
