Hi Steering Committee,
Is it time for another Steering Committee meeting? If my health holds up, I am available next week on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Thursday works best.

I just received this information about the Transition Challenge 2012. Each Transition group can create their own challenge event between May 1 - May 31. The link is http://transitionus.org/actions/transition-challenge

Transition US is committed to enabling action-oriented programs at the national level. The 2012 Transition Challenge is just such an opportunity. Inspired by the the amazing work done in Sonoma County, CA and organizations such as the Victory Garden Foundation, this year we are extending the challenge to span an entire month: May 1 - 31st.

Organizing a Challenge in your town (or city, village, county, parish, island) not only helps raise awareness and continue to build local resiliency, it offers an opportunity for your citizens to be a part of something much larger. This is the perfect opportunity for communities across the country to come together and show their solidarity.

Yes, it is - but my week is rapidly filling up. I might be able to do
something Wednesday evening, but that looks like it might be it. The
week after that, Tuesday and Thursday nights are out.

Hi Steering Committee,
Since this week looks full for Bruce, how about we have our steering committee meeting on Monday, March 19th or Wednesday, March 21st? Let us know if you can make either of these dates.

Debbie
P.S. Rally in the Valley - featuring Roseanne Barr - is happening on Fri, March 23rd, at the Mayflower Club in North Hollywood.

I'm with Jon and Mitzi on this -- 3/21 is out for me, 3/19's OK.

Hi Steering Committee,
Carol wrote and said the dates we mentioned looked good for her.

So far, it looks like we will be meeting on Monday 3/19 at 7pm.

Bill -- Will you be able to join us that evening?

Morning folks.

I'm in the weeds, so to speak, so I won't be joining you next Monday.  I have a friend speaking at the Burbank event which means I'd love to go, if possible.

Best

Monday will work for me - I'll just tell my Social Secretary not to
book me for anything else.

I'm sorry we'll miss you, Bill. As an alternative can you suggest
anything you'd like us to consider? Jot down some notes on topics of
concern. We can discuss and share our responses with you so you can
review at your convenience.

For now it seems safe to put you down to work the Burbank
event, correct?

We all have so much going on now. Can we all jot down some notes so we
can create an Agenda?

I think our meetings are much more productive when we have an agenda
to follow especially if we do our best to stay on topic and make some
decisions before spinning off into fun and interesting but only
tangentially-related conversations.

I know I'm guilty of such divergence!

I have a couple of things to report and some ideas for up-coming
events.

Let's have one agenda to which we all contribute to streamline
things.

Should we make it a Google doc so all can do so at their convenience?

Just putting ideas out there, hoping to stimulate more conversation.

See you all soon!

Hi everyone,
I came down with the flu. Boo! I will call into the meeting at Bruce's on Monday evening. That way, I will not pass it along. A high priority agenda item should be planning potluck meetings for the next several months with dates and hosts. I have been receiving a number of emails from prospective members. I tell them we are currently planning events. So, they will expect to receive announcements soon.

Debbie
