March food coop order

Hi All

A few people have said they would like to place an order this month.

The new catalogue is out, so please download a copy or order the paper copy.

I have cleared down the order spreadsheet so you can start to add your orders

I am off to Croatia/Serbia on 22nd, so I suggest we place an order on 12th for delivery on 14th. Suggest we fill the spreadsheet by 9th, and meet on 8th or 9th to finalise and collect money.

Which date suits for the meeting? Please email ASAP to say which day you can make.

Is the spreadsheet updating amounts OK. I noticed someone else (Jake?) put down to split some of the items I wanted to share but it hasn't updated the total in my column.

Just met up with Ricardo today and went thro the spreadsheet ..  Seems fairly straight forward.

Re meeting up to sort the order - Thursday is best for me and I think Ricardo said it was for him too ??

Line deletions
Just a friendly suggestion when filling in the spreadsheets; if you need to delete a line, probably best to leave it till we meet up to finalise the order and we can talk you through it.   There are a few tricky do-s and don't-s in that department  ;-)   We had a few problems with line deletions on the last order, which resulted in Rakesh having to re-enter an awful lot of data that was inadvertently lost.  Let us know when you can all make it - Thurs, 8th or Friday, 9th ?

Will see if I can help with your totals tomorrow Ceri.  If not, we can sort it out at the finalisation meeting, as Rakesh is probably too busy to cast an eye over it in the next few days. No worries.

Most important thing to remember is not to edit the formulas.
I saw some formulas yesterday the in column P and Q were edited. They
were replaced with numbers instead of the formula which automatically
adds up the numbers.
I have corrected that already so it should be working.
Well done all, especially those who are not used to spreadsheets, I
realise this can look quite daunting. It's a shame google chose to
disable the spreadsheets ability to protect formulas from being
edited, as this would save a lot of mistakes from happening.

The tea samples we can only get one per order. I ordered them so we
can equally distribute them between anyone who wants some samples.
When we sort the order we will probably just equally distribute them
among everyone.

So what day are we meeting?

Friday would suit me better. But if Thursday is better for Ricardo and
Donna, then I can rearrange. Ricardo, can you please confirm which day
is better for you. If it doesn't happen this Thursday or Friday,then
it will have to wait till April, as I am busy all weekend (won't be in
Pimlico), and Monday daytime is the deadline. If we miss that, the
next delivery day is when I leave for Croatia.

Not heard from Ariel, Iain.

I am meeting city west homes today to discuss them giving us a grant
to start a fresh food coop. The idea is we use bikes to pick up
organic wholesale fresh food from New covent garden by bike (which
they buy for us), they find us a place we can use to sort the food and
distribute it from (which if it is a lock up garage we may be able to
use for this coop).

I haven't responded because I'm not available thursday or friday and was waiting to see if any other days arose ... sorry, things are really hectic for me right now as it's the end of our term, and group work coming out of my ears!!!!

not sure what to do, can I leave my order with you, or should I take my order off?

tonight in the spreadsheet I can narrow my margins based on what others have put so there's not as many unknowns.

if my orders can't be made delete them without hesitation, and as for other orders which are short I can't purchase anything else as I'm on a budget!!!! sorry I know this isn't the cooperative mentality, but usually I'm very good at ordering things just so the order can be made.

Iain can't partake in the coop this month, I think he's trying to set one up at Imperial in the mean time!

Hi Ariel
No problem if you cant make it. And no need to take things off, just
do exactly as you said, to narrow your margins.
Maybe if you can skype in at 9pm so we can go over your order, if not
I'll email it in the evening, so you know what we settled for and how
much you need to pay. Not sure when I will be back on Sunday (I may
not come back till Monday morning), and I think I need to leave around
8am on Sat morning. So Friday night would be best to drop off cash
unless you can make Monday morning, or drop it in the post (which is
not ideal). Bank transfer is the other option. We'll work it out.

Can I remind everyone that the sooner you put in your order, the more chance others will add to your order to fill any incomplete quantities. If you can please get most of your order done by Thursday, so others can see what you have ordered that would be very helpful.
