Hi All ..

Rakesh is away for the week so if you have any questions, you can send to the group or to me char...@talktalk.net  and I can probably answer them.

All orders need to be in by the deadline of Friday 25th ... and the earlier you place your orders the better ..especially if we are not having an ordering meeting

We need to think "co-operatively" and try to support each other by coming in on items that have not reached their fullfillment amounts

here's an example ... I need people to help me out on row 28 ......

1 200517       6x500ml organic Sesame Oil    6.09   Clearspring   .... for £4.57 rather than £6.09 rrp  It is a very good general purpose cooking oil and my 2 bottles will last me ages so I need others to take up the other 4 ... please ?   ..... (these things would normally be negotiated at the ordering meeting)

so remember to check if someone has already added the item you want, or a similar item, higher up the list.

another example ...  Donna  ... do you really need the whole 25Kg of rice ?  .. if you made your "minimum" be, say, 15 Kg then it would allow 10Kg for other members to buy ... and 15 kg is still a LOT of rice !

Don't forget that even if an Item is allready "fulfilled" ... i.e.  ROW 1 .. Suma Organic Apple Juice Concentrate  .. 6x400 ml  ...you can still add orders and we just order another 6, 12,  or whatever.

To make ordering easy .... I think it makes sense to download BOTH the PDF AND the excel spreadsheet versions of the catalogue from ..

The PDF is MUCH easier to read and browse .... but then once you find an item you want, you can  copy it's catalogue number and paste it into the "find" box in the spreadsheet ( hit "control-F")   ....  The "find" function seems to work much better with the catalogue number rather than trying to search for "rice" or whatever

from there you can copy and paste JUST the first 11 cells (Important!) of columns A to K into our order spreadsheet

You CAN fill it all in Manually ( e.g if you are using a paper catalogue ) but be very carefull to copy it all correctly ... esp the Cat No and price ... and watch out for VAT which has to be added to ALL non-foods and all "luxury" foods ( eg. apple juice ! )

in fact ...  here is a copy from the "instructions" tab in our ordering Spreadsheet ..

and please add your details to the "Contacts" tab

good luck ! ...  Charles

1. Fill in columns A through to K ( the pale yellow ones ! ) with your order (you can copy and paste from the Infinity spreadsheet).

If you ARE copying and pasting from the Infinity spreadsheet you STILL need to MANUALLY fill in column L .. ""Qty - MANUAL (vol weight)"" to make the automation work ... (that's why it's called ""manual"" ! )

and please make sure you only copy those first 11 cells A thu to K ... NOT a longer line !

i.e ..... at the risk of repetition .. please DO NOT edit or clear  or paste into columns M,N,O,P,Q and R !"

2.Column L NEEDS to be filled in MANUALLY it is  "Qty - MANUAL (vol weight)"and is the lot quantity (i.e. [ 5 ] for 5kg; [ 6 ] for 6x500ml; [ 5 ] for 5 litres). **

3.PLEASE NOTE !  Columns M to R will be filled in automatically PLEASE do not edit these fields as they contain essential formulas to make this order process work.

Please use the "backspace" key rather than "delete" to clear a cell for editing or re-editing or to "delete" it's value ... or whatever... as "delete"  clears all the formatting for that cell as well (which you don't want).....
And if you DO make a mistake please use "Undo"  ( in the Edit menu or "control z" )

4. Q is the max total (used to check if we have above or below the minimum order).

5. R  "SPARE"  indicates the amount available for others to buy

6. Add  the minimum and maximum quantity you want in columns S onwards

Please do not edit ( or clear) the third "£" column of "your" 3 columns  as this allso has automated formulas and should NOT be edited or cleared ...
