Rakesh,

First of all, thank you for your time reviewing the order. As you said that we had some time earlier to play with the spreadsheet, I did place different kinds of order for people to see though nobody apart from Donna and us have add any data.

I have received all the bank cheque books, stationery and the two devices for us to register for banking online.

I am so busy now I am sorry I haven't been able to do anything with food coop. I will review my order.  I will complete my order by this Sunday. Have you given a specific deadline for people to place their order?

I'd be happy to take some of your tahini, please. Do you have any convenient moment for meeting up either Sunday, Monday or Tuesday evening, please?

Thank you again and see you soon

Kind regards,

Ricardo

Can you please check your orders against the new catalogue. I have checked my order and had to delete a few things as the product is no longer available or no longer at the sale price (e.g. rice dream). I have highlighted the items I have checked.

From experience I have to say that taking one item out of 6 or 12 is unlikely to get filled unless we get a huge influx of people into the coop (which given I seem to be the only person promoting it and given my workload is very unlikely). I would suggest you cut down the number of items you have placed in the order and take larger quantities, which will give you a higher chance of someone else wanting the remaining items.

I put 25kg of rolled oatflakes, as it will work out much cheaper and reduces the amount of packaging, etc. So you may wish to delete your 500g packets. If we dont get enough people wanting jumbo oatflakes, we can go down to 5kg. If you calculate the cost per kg you will see 12x500g is the most expensive option at £1.57 per kg, compared with 88p per kg if we get 25kg or £1.18 for 5kg

12x500g Rolled Oatflakes - UK 1.57
6x1kg Rolled Oatflakes - UK 1.48
25kg Rolled Oatflakes - UK 0.88
5kg Rolled Oatflakes - UK 1.18

Looking at some of the other items on your list. I notice you have black rice listed twice (2.5kg and 6x500g). Again the 2.5kg is cheaper and less packaging than the 6x500g packets. My wife ordered a 3 litre tub of brown tahini previously, which I doubt I will ever get through, so if anyone wants some tahini, I can happily share some of it.

I am in no hurry to place the order, so I am not going to spend much more time asking people to add to the order. Most likely I am only here till early December after which I will most likely go away for 2 or 3 months. So I will be more motivated to place an order in Feb/March next year, when I get back. If you want to place an order before I go, please add to the list or ask us for help if you don't understand how to,

 Thanks

Rakesh

We didn't set a date, but can I suggest we get orders into the spreadsheet by Mon 21st, so we can place the order at the end of the week, and get delivery the following Wednesday.

The only evening I have free this month is Monday 14th (I will be coming back from Leeds, not sure what time I arrive back in London but think it is during the day). Happy to meet Monday evening. Other days I am busy.

If anyone else would like to come over on Monday, we can go over how the ordering process.
I get back around 3pm. Would prefer if everyone came at the same time, as I have a busy day Tuesday which I need to prepare for, so don;t want this to eat up more time than is necessary. If you want to come over let me know what time is good for you.

I checked half of your order, and there are some price differences. The ones I highlighted in the pinkish colour have a different price to the one you listed from the last catalogue.

Run out of time to check the rest, so please have a loot at it when you get time

Hi All ...

I was involved when Rakesh started what was originally the "SE 11 food co-op" which then gravitated around Brixton and became
"Transition Town Brixton food co-op"  ... which I have been pretty much organising for the last few months ...

so I know how it all works allready  !

but I would come to the meeting on Monday anyway to meet the other members if enough of you are coming  ?

Not  many people have placed their orders yet ?? ... the earlier the better so that others have more  time to come in on the Items to make up the quantities ...  makes it more "co-operative" !

BTW ... I count NINE ( ! )  types of pasta ! which could probably be rationalised down to a smaller choice !
and make it more likely to be fullfilled !

Anyways ... hope to meet you all on Monday  ...  early evening ?

cheers ... Charles
