By joining the Transition Palo Alto Google Group, you receive occasional e-mail messages from other Transition Palo Alto group members. This list is reserved for announcements and local events related to Transition.

This is a moderated group. If you post to it, one of the moderators will look to see if your post matches our posting rules. If it does, the post will be forwarded. If not, it will be returned to you.

Here are the posting rules:

We DO approve announcements, meetings, and events, related to Transition Palo Alto and our allies that happen locally (on the Peninsula or - for very important events - in the SF Bay Area).

We DON'T approve messages involving arguments and discussion, worthy causes not directly Transition-related (animal rescue, anti-war, etc.), things that aren't local (national online events), classified ads (need a place to rent, have extra rutabagas to, give away, etc.), or personal questions ("Can I get a ride to the TPA films tonight?").

The idea is to limit the number of messages, and to make them as useful to as many folks as possible. If you're interested in lively discussion, please sign up for tpa_chat@yahoogroups.com, where people share ideas, articles, videos, etc., and there's no approval process - or post to our Facebook page or MeetUp group.
