Introduction to growing your own food in a Polytunnel or Greenhouse

Sat 16th January 2016 from 10am - 4pm

Held at Strathpeffer Community Centre

Cost £30 and includes refreshments and lunch.

A introduction for those interested in growing fruit and vegetables undercover. The course will look at design and siting of your tunnel or how to make the most of your current greenhouse. Soil, crop rotation and nutrition, selecting the right crops and seeds, planning for year round growth. Session lead by experienced organic crofter Jo Hunt from Knockfarrel Croft.

The course is based in the Community Centre in the morning then after lunch head up to the croft for some hands on experience.
