Small Business in Bioregion-Deep River connection. Never Ending still open on Sat and Sun and trying to find new homes for the books. Is city trying to support small business? Citizens can try to support local business. Suggest zoom meeting with small business and mayor’s office? Need rent control for small businesses? What is Yale doing for their rental properties? Do a small survey? Roger, Frank

English Station: Aaron, UI has not held an informational session > 1 yr. No remediation going on the site? Make UI come to table to discuss what is going on. Mill River Urban Waters Initiative for 100,000 separate funding for Environmental Justice projects around Engish Station, we need money for community education. Remediation is just for Ball Island but not for water around Ball Island. Coordinators: Chris Malik, Kim deGiovanni.
Write to Chris and Kim- English station should be part of discussion.Juan Martinez School kids are interested in English Station, how can they help,desire for more information. Projects: Joann Moran, reaching school kids about flora,fauna, storm drain stenciling. Preference for shovel ready projects. Some ideas: charette with community members and urban design league and Yale Urban Design for ideas on how to handle these properties. Owners are still absent.

Additions: Pond Lily clean up: January 18, MLK day, clean up on preserve. Meet at Walgreen Parking Lot, 10 AM – noon. Public Works does pick ups.

REPORTS:
Bioregional Garden: end of season wrap up. Ordered seeds. Reported to Gather New Haven.
Winter Sowing Seeds: giving out kits for pollinator plants in Hamden Library.
Composting: participation increasing since October. Undergrad environmental group raised funds to subsidize composting outside of the university. Negotiate privately, subsidize for students, up to 15 students. PH is around 7.
