Sorry i somehow missed the announcement for yesterday's meeting... my bad!
Here's the info for the next one:

Hello All,

We had five new people come to the meeting yesterday -- Brian Kimmel,
Candee Pearson, Dave Hart and Timothy and Laura Prow.

We now have a "reading group" at Maria's Bookshop so that you can buy the
transition books there at a 15% discount. When you go to pay for the book,
tell them that you are a member of the Transition Durango reading group.
They expect to have three copies of each of the books by Monday. I would
encourage you to buy the Transition Companion since it has the latest
information -- published in 2011. You can check out the books on Amazon if
you wish. Here are the links:

Transition Companion:

Transition Timeline:

Transition Handbook:

And you can download the main text of the Transition Handbook (this is just
the main text -- not any of the extra boxes, etc.) at:

For the time being, we decided that we will continue to have meetings every
other Wednesday at 11:30 at the Himalayan Kitchen. For the next meeting I
will arrange for us to use the private dining room. So the next two
meetings will be Feb 8th and 22nd.

We also want to underscore that this is a non-hierarchical group, so there
are no leaders per se. We are in the process of creating a Steering Group
that will get us through the next 9-12 months when we will have a "Grand
Unleashing" where we invite all of the public to join us. The Transition
Companion or the Transition Handbook will be our guide to define what this
process will be for Durango. The Transition Companion outlines the tools
and ingredients that might be required -- we will decide which of those to
use for our process.

In the meantime, come to meetings when you can. We will keep you all
informed via email and via the Transition Town Durango Facebook page (if
you are on FB.) I added some of you to this group.

If you have friends who might be interested, invite them to one of the next
meetings.

And if one of you would like to be the scribe to record what happens at the
meetings, that would be great!

Cheers,

Tom

P.S. If you don't want to be involved any more, please let me know and I
will remove your name from my list.
