URGENT: Open Letter re Navitus Bay

We have endured months of anti-wind farm press coverage and meetings. We have now prepared an open letter to ask for positive action and a balanced debate. Please read the attached letter and the details below, and give this urgent matter some consideration. If you are in agreement with promoting renewables and Navitus Bay, then please sign as instructed, either in your personal capacity or as a representative of an organisation or both. Note that responses need to be sent to navituso...@gmail.com.
The more people and organisations we can get to sign this letter the better, so please please please forward it on to anyone who you think would be interested.

As agreed at the last BH Green Group meeting we are planning to issue an Open Letter outlining our concerns at the current state of the Navitus ‘debate’ and calling for our leaders to consider future generations and base their decisions on reasoned and considered factual evidence. The letter is attached. Can you please look through and action as follows;
1. Assuming you are in agreement with the broad approach of the letter can you please ask any groups you are a member of to add their name as an ‘Organisation’ signatory.
2. Can you also add your own name (as an ‘Individual’ signatory) and ask as many people as possible to do likewise.
Both can be collected in paper format and I will arrange collection – although I am happy, and it is easier, to take ‘signatures’ by email (they should follow the format shown on the letter template)
3. I would also appreciate if you can advise me if you can contact any significant individuals i.e. those whose title will add value (Councillor, MP, Professor, Doctor etc.) or any others of community standing and/or any groups (community groups, faith organisations, trade unions) this will save us duplicating effort. If you know of an organisation or individual we should contact but don’t know them yourself again please let me know.

Once we have collected a reasonable number of signatures we will arrange an event to present the letter to somebody and the media (all ideas welcome).
