Do you know what day it is, Susan?

Dear Conservative leaders,

CONSERVATIVE- does that meeting CONSERVING life on a dying planet?

Mrs Thatcher's leadership at the Montreal Protocol 1987 meant that poorer nations were helped to transition away from dangerous CFCs.

Mrs Thatcher warned the UN that 1989 that rising greenhouse gas levels could lead to "drought and starvation".

Your Decarbonisation At Speed and Scale plan is NOT YET VISIBLE in our literature, sdoctor's surgeries, schools, libraries, noticeboards. Yet systems and ecosystems continue to collapse.

  Awaiting a speedy response please.

  Many thanks,

Susan Chapman  (usual address, not yet underwater unlike Melbourne rellies)

  OH DEAR

Without changes to people’s behaviour and lifestyles, it will be impossible for the UK to reach net zero emissions by 2050. But the government is failing to put in place the conditions that would enable this to happen – or even recognise its relevance in cutting emissions and meeting climate targets. Its laissez-faire approach of simply “going with the grain of consumer choice”, according to a recent report, has no chance of bringing about the urgent changes needed.

A lot has changed about our country in the last ninety-seven years, but there’s one thing that will never change. When it comes to protecting the legacy of one of our greatest Prime Ministers, there’s only one Party that's up to the task.
Conservatives

Dear Susan,

Ninety-seven years ago today, a woman was born who would change the course of history.

From giving tenants the right to buy their council homes to ending crippling strikes, Margaret Thatcher built a legacy that changed Britain for the better.

But her legacy will only survive if people fight for it. Trust me: it's under threat like never before.

Conservative members are the only ones standing between Thatcher’s legacy and Labour’s wrecking ball. So I’m asking you to stand with us.

While Thatcher took on the unions, Keir Starmer’s MPs have joined the picket lines, trying to grind our economy to a halt.

While Thatcher stood up for Britain on the global stage, Keir Starmer and his frontbench supported the worldview of a man who wanted to abolish NATO.

While Thatcher was the first woman to become Party Leader, Labour still trail three – nil.

Susan, Thatcher took on the Labour’s anti-growth coalition in the 1980s. It’s our job to take them on now.

So will you join the Conservatives and help protect our values?

Every single penny of the membership subscription helps us fund our campaigns and win elections.

So just by joining, you would be helping to protect Thatcher’s legacy and get Britain moving.

Together, we can take on Labour and deliver for the British people.

Are you with us?

Yours sincerely,

Rt Hon Jake Berry MP

Chairman of the Conservative Party
