Hi All,

along with the river, the forest of Marston Vale, is one of those
things that makes me truly proud of my area. It would be really good
if you could do the simple act of voting online to support them. See
below.

or simply click http://www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards/shortlistitem.cfm?id_category=3&id_entry=115
and click vote
done!!

Thanks and please circulate....

Dear All,

Please forgive the slightly impersonal nature of this message, but
you’ll appreciate that I’m trying to garner support from all quarters
as efficiently as I can!

I’m delighted to tell you that our Forest Centre & Millennium Country
Park was recently voted through to the finals of the National Lottery
Awards, making it one of the top three projects in the UK in the Best
Environment Project category. Voting has now opened for this final
round to select the overall winner, and we’d be grateful for your
support and for any that you can muster from your friends, family and
colleagues! The easiest way to vote is online, via the National
Lottery Awards website http://www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards/shortlistitem.cfm?id_category=3&id_entry=115,
and voting ends at midday on Friday 13th August.

To have made it through to the finals is a fantastic achievement in
itself, but to win overall and be crowned the Best Environment Project
in these awards would be an amazing and fitting reward for the many
hundreds of volunteers, business partners, supporters and our team who
have all played their part in making the Forest Centre & Millennium
Country Park such a success over the last 10 years. The winner will be
announced and presented with their award during a national TV gala
event, broadcast live on the BBC on 4th September.

You may have already received something from us seeking your support,
so apologies for the duplication if this is the case, but I’d rather
us ask twice than not at all!

Please feel free to share this message widely with all those you know,
and many thanks for any support that you can offer – your vote could
really make the difference.

Kind regards,

James

Voted for Marston Vale.

Also, see below - Tamara Lowe from Zero Carbon Castle sent out the travel
survey they put together with the council. The more people that fill it in
the better.

Subject: Travel survey from council to improve travelling in Bedford

Dear All,

I hope you don't mind me emailing you all, but I was wondering if you would
be willing to fill out an online survey from the council about your daily
travel routines.

The council and I have been working on this together to find out what modes
of transport people are using to put together a travel plan and improve
travelling within Bedford.
So this could really improve things in Bedford!

The survey will take 5 minutes and you can access it by simply clicking on
the link below:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ZCC_Travel_Plan_Survey_2010

We had printed copies of this survey at our event at the roundabout a few
months ago as well, but would need to have a bigger sample to convince the
council to change things.

Please let me know should you have any questions.

Many thanks for your help.

Best wishes,

Tammy Lowe
