Hello,

My name is Krzysztof Witalewski and I am currently working on test
deployment and further development of TDF at goEuropa, Poland.

I noticed that the id field of gtfs entities in TDF data model is of
"int" type, while GTFS (as a specification) doesn't limit ids to
integer values.

Working for Poznan region public transport operators at goEuropa, we
decided to use string values as ids some data types in order to have a
coherent id generation algorithm and as a result be able to provide
unification mechanism for partial transit data updates.

I'd like to suggest to follow the specification here and change data
type of "id" fields in gtfs entities to String.

Cheers,
Krzysztof

Hello Krzysztof,

You're a member of the Google Code project, correct?  Would you be willing to submit this change to the projects Source tree?

Thank you,

c.b.

Hi Cort,
just for clarification, if Krzysztof hasn't yet joined, would it
require your confirmation if he joins? I'm asking simply because of
time difference between Poland and US, since he would apply monday
morning.

Have a good weekend,
Wojciech

Hello Wojciech,

If he is not a current member of the project, then yes, we will need to approve his membership. As soon as he applies for membership I/we will get an email notice and will OK it right away. Could you please ask that he let us know what email address he'll be using, if he uses something other than wital...@gmail.com

Cheers,

c.b.

Hi,

I am using wital...@gmail.com for google code services, so please
add me as a member with this e-mail. When browsing through site of
your project at google code I found information that I can "Join this
project by contacting the project owners, usually through
participating in a mailing list". Is that right?

Cheers,
Chris
