Hello Again ERP Members,

With the assistance of Aaron Antrim, we figured out the issue with Google Docs and the Stage II documents. For those who can’t use the WinZip file or would just like the online docs, I have placed the documents into the TDF folder. Some of the formatting seems to have been lost, however the docs are legible. If you have any questions, please let me know.

By the way, I have a question that was asked during the Webinar training session, that I’d like to have your opinion. When I say small transit agency, what do you consider a small transit agency? Is it the number of routes, stops, vehicles, a combination of items or something totally different? Please let us know.

Thanks…

Bruce,

As a rule of thumb, small agencies are agencies with fewer than 100 vehicles. I happened to be part of a TCRP panel on Transit Scheduling and the following text was included in the Appendix:

A total of 60 agencies were included in the survey sample, including:

15 small agencies with fewer than 100 peak vehicles in service;
19 medium agencies with 100 to 500 peak vehicles in service;
21 large agencies with over 500 peak vehicles in service

See page 39 (Page B-1) on http://onlinepubs.trb.org/onlinepubs/tcrp/tcrp_webdoc_45.pdf
