I think PATH is custom, since its the only system that I've seen with "Commuter Train".

And is PATCO part of the NJT feed, or is there a way to combine stations with different agencies? (since Lindenwold NJT/PATCO shows up as one station on Google Maps).

Google Transit supports the proposed GTFS extension to use Hierarchical Vehicle Type (HVT) values from the European TPEG standard in the routes.txt route_type column, including things like "commuter rail", as described here:

There are a couple of other agencies using these codes.  For example, you can catch a commuter train from Zurich as well:

That said, not ever agency uses the expanded route-type hierarchy.  There has also been some recent discussion on the gtfs-changes mailing list about how to model route and vehicle types as well that might be interesting.

Regarding combining stations across agencies, currently GTFS doesn't provide a mechanism to link stops and stations across feeds.  It's currently up to feed consumers to determine when two stops in two different feeds are actually referring to the same thing.

Other examples that there are stops with multiple agencies that you can find on Google Maps is

New York Penn Station, which has Amtrak, NJT Rail, and LIRR
Newark Penn Station, Amtrak, NJT Rail, PATH
Hoboken, NJT Rail, PATH
Trenton, NJT Rail, SEPTA, Amtrak

Philadelphia 30th Street Station upper level, NJT Rail, SEPTA.... though NJT trains service is at Amtrak level, because that is where the Atlantic City line trains go, but NJ Transit's GTFS has the atlantic city line routing to 30th street station upper level (directions east/west) to improve trip planner connections between the Atlantic City Line and SEPTA regional rail lines...

Nice work!

Slightly unrelated, but in case anyone is interested I made GTFS for Shore Line East in Connecticut recently: https://github.com/ianleighton/ShoreLineEastGTFS/
