Thanks Don, that's news to me.
I went to see if I could find the contract, and indeed, here it is:
http://www.nassaucountyny.gov/documents/584-11pt1.pdf
I could not find that Veolia was responsible for posting GTFS feeds,
so it looks like they are off the hook unless the contract is amended
accordingly. It seems to me a request for Veolia to post GTFS feeds
would have to be submitted to the Nassau County Bus Transit Committee.
That was supposed to be formed to oversee Veolia's performance on the
contract. And submit reports to the County Executive on a quarterly
basis. With that said - I could not find office contact information,
committee members, meeting minutes or any evidence that would indicate
that this committee exists. Hmm... Somebody else please check and if
that's the case I guess a step up the food chain (the office of the
County Executive
http://www.nassaucountyny.gov/agencies/CountyExecutive/index.html)
would be the right contact then to find out how to reach the Transit
Committee. Not that I wouldn't do that, but I live in California and
somebody actually living there and perhaps riding the bus would
probably have a more credible play in placing such inquiries I
guess...
