I'm pretty new to Transfer, although successfully using it with M/G
and liking it. I've been writing multiple object definitions (in
transfer config) so that I have the possibility of getting simple
objects (no/minimal composition) or fully loaded objects as required.
I'm also basing a lot of object definitions on views (when this makes
sense) - somewhat like writing gateways, I guess. Has anyone any
opinions on these practices?

Just answered my own question I guess - not if you expect your cached
objects to be synchronised ..........

Correct. I use views defined as objects in gateways, but I strictly
run TQL against them. They do not figure into the cache.
