Benefiet voor TranScreen 30 maart

Het Transgender Filmfestival TranScreen bouwt een feestje. Een benefiet feestje voor ons festival dat in mei plaatsvindt. We kunnen alle donaties gebruiken; zowel in de vorm van jouw stralende aanwezigheid als in de vorm van geld.

Er is goed nieuws te melden: de Gemeente Amsterdam heeft subsidie toegezegd en enkele dagen geleden werd bekend dat het VSB fonds TranScreen steunt met een donatiesubsidie! Zonder deze bijdragen zou het festival niet kunnen plaatsvinden. Het is voldoende om alle films in te kunnen kopen en de logistiek te regelen.
Maar… een uniek film festival wordt nóg unieker als we zoveel mogelijk filmmakers kunnen uitnodigen. Zou je met de regisseur van een Iraanse film willen spreken en willen vragen hoe die film ontvangen is in het land van herkomst? Wil je weten of de hoofdrolspeler uit die indrukwekkende Duitse documentaire binnenkort bij jou optreedt? Of wil je weten of die leuke transman uit die porno film nog single is? Doneer dan aan TranScreen!

Dat kan op verschillende manieren: door te doneren op ons rekeningnummer bij de maatschappelijk verantwoord ondernemende Triodos Bank – op naam van Stichting TransMotion te Amsterdam: 198.30.95.03.

Benefit for TranScreen 30th March

The TranScreen Transgender Filmfestival is having a party. It’s a benefit party for the mega edition of our festival that takes place in May this year. We really could use any kind of donation; in the form of your radiant presence as well in the form of money.

We have good news already: the City of Amsterdam Council is officially funding us and only a few days ago we heard that the VSB Fund will be giving us a donation as well! Without these fundings the festival could never take place. It’s enough to organise the logistics of the filmfestival and the aquisition of films.
But… a unique festival such as this one would be even more unique if we could invite as many filmmakers and performers as possible. Wouldn’t you want to speak with an Iranian director and ask how their film has been received in Iran? Do you want to know if that protagonist from that inpressive German documentary will be performing in a venue near you? Or would you like to know if that cute trans guy from that porn film is single? Then donate to TranScreen!
